Arkansas MCLE Requirements Overview

Credit Requirements

  • Total Credits: 12 credit hours per year
    • At least 1 hour in Ethics

  • Credit Format: all 12 credits may be taken as Live Webinar or On Demand

  • All Courses on SproutEd are approved for Credit in Arkansas

Compliance & Reporting

  • CLE Deadline: June 30th

  • Reporting Deadline: July 31st

  • Attendance Reporting: SproutEd reports attendance and credit to the Arkansas Supreme Court 30 days after course completion

  • Compliance Procedure: Attorneys will receive a final report of the reporting cycle by mail on or before July 31st.  If in compliance, no further action is required.  If deficient, the Attorney must return the acknowledgement of deficiency form by August 31st, complete the remainder of credits by December 1st, and report those credits by December 15th.  

Additional Info

  • 12 credits may be carried over into the next reporting period, including 1 in Ethics

  • All credit hours may be completed online

  • All courses on SproutEd are approved for credit in Arkansas

Arkansas CLE Requirements FAQs

Attorneys are newly admitted for the duration of the reporting period for which they are admitted.

Newly admitted attorneys must complete the normal CLE requirement of 12 credits, including 1 in Ethics, by June 30th of the year following admission to the bar. 

Attorneys can complete all 12 credits on SproutEd.  All of SproutEd’s courses qualify for credit in Arkansas.
