Nebraska MCLE Requirements Overview

Credit Requirements

  • Total Credits: 10 credit hours per year
    • At least 2 hours in Ethics

  • Credit Format: 5 credits must be Live In-Person courses; 5 credits can be On-Demand or Live Webcast courses

  • All Courses on SproutEd are approved for credit in Nebraska

Compliance & Reporting

  • CLE Deadline: December 31st

  • Reporting Deadline: January 20th

  • Reporting Procedure: SproutEd reports your attendance and credit to the Nebraska Supreme Court within 30 days of completion

  • Compliance Procedure: By October 1st the Director of Judicial Branch Education emails all attorneys asking them to review their online accounts for accuracy. Starting on December 1st, attorneys can certify their CLE compliance on the Annual Report through their Member Portal.

Additional Info

  • Carryover Credit: 5 Live In-Person credits may be carried over, excluding Ethics credits

  • 5 credit hours may be completed online

  • All courses on SproutEd are approved for credit in Nebraska

Nebraska CLE Requirements FAQs

Nebraska does not identify newly admitted attorneys for CLE purposes.

Newly admitted attorneys are subject to the same CLE requirements as all attorneys. 

Attorneys can complete 5 credits on SproutEd. All of SproutEd’s courses are approved for credit in Nebraska.
