What Are My Deadlines and Credit Requirements?
If you’re practicing law in AR, you need to complete 12 credit hours every year. At least 1 of those credits must be in Ethics.
You have until June 30th to complete your CLEs, and until July 31st to report them.

All 12 credits may be taken as Live Webcast or On-Demand.

How do I report my CLE credits?
SproutEd reports attendance and credit to the Arkansas Supreme Court 30 days after course completion. Attorneys will receive a final report of the reporting cycle by mail on or before July 31st. If in compliance, no further action is required. If deficient, the Attorney must return the acknowledgement of deficiency form by August 31st, complete the remainder of credits by December 1st, and report those credits by December 15th.
Can I carry over extra CLE credits?
12 credits may be carried over into the next reporting period, including 1 in Ethics.
What are the consequences of not completing my CLE in time?
The Arkansas Bar Association will serve a noncompliant lawyer with notice. If the lawyer fails to provide the required evidence in 30 days, the Arkansas Continuing Legal Education Board may suspend the attorney’s license. An attorney who has been suspended and wants to be reinstated must file a petition for reinstatement.
What if I’m New to Practicing in Arkansas?
Newly admitted attorneys must complete the normal CLE requirement of 12 credits, including 1 in Ethics, by June 30th of the year following admission to the bar.
