Paralegal CLE Requirements by State

California Paralegal CLE

CLE Requirement for CA Registered Paralegals:

8 hours of CLE every two years
- 4 hours in Legal Ethics
- 4 hours in general law or a specialized legal area
Paralegals can earn CLE credit through Live Webcasts or On-Demand courses
It is the paralegal’s responsibility to maintain their records of certification

Delaware Paralegal CLE

CLE Requirement for DE Registered Paralegals:

8 hours of CLE every two years
- 1 hour in Enhanced Ethics
Paralegals can earn CLE credit through Live Webcasts or On-Demand courses
It is the paralegal’s responsibility to maintain their records of certification and submit renewal documentation—including CLE credits, renewal fees, and proof of employment—to the Delaware Paralegal Association at least one month before their renewal date.
Paralegals must fulfill their CLE requirements within two years of their initial certification or renewal date
