Indiana MCLE Requirements Overview
Credit Requirements
- Total Credits: 36 credit hours every 3 years
- At least 3 hours in Ethics
- At least 6 hours completed per year
- Credit Format: All 36 credits can be On-Demand or Live Webinar courses
- Most courses on SproutEd are approved for credit in Indiana. Please be sure to check each individual course’s state credit information to confirm its approval status.
Compliance & Reporting
- CLE Deadline: December 31st
- Reporting Deadline: December 31st
- Reporting Procedure: SproutEd Reports your attendance and credit to the Indiana Commission for Continuing Legal Education (CCLE) within 30 days of each course
- Compliance Procedure: At the end of each year the CCLE will send a transcript to each Indiana attorney with the courses completed for the current year and reporting period, which must be verified by the attorney

- Carryover Credit: No credits may be carried over to the next reporting period
- All credit hours may be completed online
- All courses on SproutEd are approved for credit in Indiana

Attorneys are newly within their first 3-year Educational Period after being admitted to the Indiana State bar by Bar Exam.
