Nevada MCLE Requirements Overview
Credit Requirements
- Total Credits: 13 credit hours per year
- At least 2 hours in Ethics
- At least 1 hour in Substance Abuse
- Credit Format: All 13 credits can be On-Demand or Live Webcast courses
- Most courses on SproutEd are approved for credit in Nevada. Please be sure to check each individual course’s state credit information to confirm its approval status.
Compliance & Reporting
- CLE Deadline: December 31st
- Reporting Deadline: February 15th
- Reporting Procedure: SproutEd reports your attendance and credit to the State Bar of Nevada within 30 days of completion
- Compliance Procedure: By February 15th, attorneys must affirm their attendance through their Attorney Dashboard on the State Bar of Nevada website
Additional Info
- Carryover Credit: 20 General credits, 4 Ethics credits and 2 Substance Abuse credits may be carried over into the next two reporting periods
- All credit hours may be completed online
- All courses on SproutEd are approved for credit in Nevada
Nevada CLE Requirements FAQs

Attorneys admitted for less than one full year.
Newly admitted attorneys must complete a Transitioning Into Practice program through the State Bar of Nevada.
Newly admitted attorneys are otherwise exempt from a CLE requirement for the remainder of the year in which they were admitted and the following year.
Attorneys can complete all 13 credits on SproutEd.
