Important Information on Idaho's 2025 CLE Reporting Deadline
For Idaho attorneys, December 31st is a key deadline for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) compliance. Ensuring you complete the required credits is essential for keeping your license active and in good standing with the Idaho State Bar.
We know time is valuable, and navigating CLE requirements can be tricky. We’re here to help simplify the process and ensure you’re on track for timely compliance.
What Are My Deadlines and Credit Requirements?
If you’re practicing law in ID, you need to complete 30 CLE credits every 3 years. At least 3 of those credits must be in Ethics.
For most attorneys, their first reporting period began on the date of admission to the Bar and ended on December 31st of the third full year following admission. After the initial reporting period, the reporting periods continue in three (3) year cycles. If an attorney transfers from active status to inactive status and then returns to active status, the reporting period may change. You can check your reporting period by checking your MCLE attendance records.
You have until December 31st to complete your CLEs, and until February 1st to report them (SproutEd handles the reporting for you).
