New Members: Free 1 credit course with code FREECLE

Is live webcast or in-person CLE required in Wyoming?

Yes — Wyoming requires some credits to be earned via “live” formats (including live webcasts), as live webcasts count toward the live requirement and do not reduce the self-study allowance.

Wyoming CLE Credit Structure

  • Total requirement: 15 credit hours per calendar year, including 2 in ethics.
  • Self-study cap: Up to 8 hours may be earned through self-study (recorded programs, online courses) each year.

“Live” Format Requirement

  • Live webcasts, webinars, teleconferences qualify as “live” formats and are eligible for live credit without being counted against the self-study cap.
  • The rules do not require physical presence; webcasts and other interactive formats are acceptable as live.

Key Takeaway: In Wyoming, there is a live component — you must obtain credits in “live” formats (e.g. live webcasts), but in-person attendance is not mandatory so long as the format meets live/interactive standards.
